Style: Nostalgia/musical Homepage: Non-existant Releases: Edith Piaf (12T007 - 2004) Grrr... (12T022 - 2005)
| She has released 2 albums, 'Edith Piaf' and 'Grrr...'
The idea of releasing the Piaf album came when a stage work based on the life of Piaf, starring Brynhildur, became the biggest hit of the Icelandic National Theatre in a long time. Brynhildur became a star, the way she involved herself in the role was magical. 'Grrr...' is Brynhildur´s second album, musically very different from the first one but still involving strong women and a sense of the theatre. Here Brynhildur covers songs made famous by singers such as Blondie, Grace Jones and Eartha Kitt. Using only accordion, double bass and pecussion to go with Brynhildur´s husky voice this album offers delightfully surprising results. |
